Or simply arrive with an open mind and a curiosity to meet new people while discovering the wonders of sourdough.
Pizza al Taglio
March 19, 2026, 6 to 9 pm
Join James Beard Award-winning cookbook author Sarah Owens for a hands-on pizza-making night as she guides you through shaping, proofing, topping, and baking this classic Roman-style pan pizza, leavened with her sourdough starter. While the dough proofs, Sarah will demonstrate how to make a sourdough starter for you to take home. As the pizza bakes, Sarah will demonstrate how to mix and retard this forgiving pizza dough and provide you with a recipe to make at home. To conclude the evening, you will enjoy a sit-down meal of a small appetizer, pizza, salad, and a light dessert. Pizza toppings will include vegetarian and vegan options. One glass of locally produced wine or NA beverage is included.

If you've been looking for ways to use your starter besides baking, this is for you! Sarah will show you how to make an unconventional roux and light and fluffy dumplings, both with sourdough starter, for a fun spin on this classic Southern comfort food. To conclude the evening, you will enjoy a sit-down meal of a small appetizer, chicken and dumplings, salad, and a light dessert. The chicken and dumplings include dairy and meat. One glass of locally produced wine or NA beverage is included.
Galette Night

Join James Beard Award-winning cookbook author Sarah Owens for a night of galette making using a wholegrain sourdough pie crust. If you've been looking for ways to use your sourdough starter besides bread, this is for you! Sarah will show you how to roll out and fill a flaky, wholesome pie crust made with spelt and sourdough starter, perfect for both sweet and savory fillings. While the galettes are baking, Sarah will demonstrate how to mix the pie crust and provide you with a recipe to make at home. To conclude the evening, you will enjoy a sit-down meal of soup, a savory galette, salad, and a light dessert. The soup and galette are vegetarian, but both include dairy. One glass of locally produced wine or NA beverage is included.
