Our preserves are created by James Beard award-winning cookbook author Sarah Owens using the finest quality seasonal ingredients from farms in Sonoma County, California and Sarah's modest but productive backyard garden. Each jar is reflective of a commitment to nurturing healthy soil. The unique flavor combinations are influenced by intense summer sunshine, generous winter rains, and a year-round morning marine layer.

Enjoy these handmade, small batch preserves smeared onto your favorite toast, stirred into yogurt or porridge, or as a finish to grilled or braised meats, fish, or vegetables. Through the rituals of farming and feasting, we pay tribute to the collective human spirit that continues to uphold togetherness through food. Can I sign up for a subscription? YES! Click here and choose your desired frequency and discount. Please note the shipping dates.

Do I pay for shipping? Yes, USPS Ground Advantage shipping is calculated at checkout.

When is it shipped: Shipping for holiday gifting occurs via USPS Ground Advantage 5-day Delivery between December 11-15, 2025.

Will there be more flavors and shipping dates added for one time purchases? Yes! Our preserves are made with freshly harvested fruit and sometimes spring or summer fruit that has been frozen to combine with winter citrus. Think passion fruit and kumquat or rhubarb, strawberry, and rose.

Why are your preserves so expensive? Each small batch preserve is made with fruit that has been lovingly grown, carefully harvested and sorted, hand-cut, and macerated for several days before processing. This time-intensive process cultivates the juiciest, tastiest fruits and draws out natural pectin without additives. Our techniques capture the essence of each ingredient while using reduced sweeteners for a fruit-forward flavor.

Why aren't your preserves organic? We use fruit that has been grown without synthetic sprays or chemical fertilizers. Although the orchard surrounding the garden where most of these fruits are grown is certified organic, the small personal garden of Sarah Owens (the gardener and jam maker) is not. We always use organic sugar and spices when possible. When not growing and harvesting our own produce (such as apricots and peaches), we work with growers with whom we have a personal relationship and trust that their practices nurture the land, but may operate without certified organic licensing.

How long do the preserves last? All of our preserves are made with reduced sugar but should store unopened at a cool room temperature for at least six months. Refrigerate after opening and consume within two to three weeks.

What's your favorite flavor?? It depends on the meal but Finger Lime & Plum is just such a unique combination - even marmalade skeptics fall for this one! But Lemon, Vanilla, & Cardamom has our hearts forever and will always be a house favorite. For the best egg sandwich you've ever eaten, try the Sweet Tomato Tonka smeared onto a soft brioche bun!
